My name is Sam Friedberg and I live in New York. I would just like to say I love seeker rods, I believe they truly are the best of the best.
Anyway, I was sharking off of Long Island NY, and after sharking, with seeker east coast rods) we decided to ge wreck fishing for ling, cod, pollock etc... I was using a relatively light rod for this; A seeker conventional Blue Inshore II 12 (15) 20 rod. I was using 30 pound test braid, with 50 pound test leader and mustad hook with some clam. I hooked a nice 30 pound pollock in 200 ft. of water, and during the fight, the rod was so bent over, the tip was just above the surface of the ocean. I really thought that it was going to crack, but no, it held in there, and I have caught many more fish on it since.

Just wanted to say thanks and tell your company how impressed I am with your Black Steel line. I have caught many fish in my life and I have a large selection of seeker rods of which 12 are black steel. On wen 5-17 solo on my boat, The "FIN"ATIC a 29' Wellcraft CCF I hooked and landed a 442# Threshar shark off La jolla canyon. She died after a 2.5 hour fight and I had to drag her from 300' tail first. This rod by all means should have broke! The noises it was making and the pressure it endured for that amount of time is in my mind amazing. I am going to retire this rod and display it proudly with a picture and plaque I am having made. Thank you agian, and you can bet I will replace it with another Seeker Rod. Sincerly ROSS PURNICK

270 LB Halibut caught on a Seeker Classic #BSC6460XH.AR  at Sure Strike Lodge Prince Wales Alaska. Lady Angler Janette Outhwaite of Santa Ana California was the lucky angler.

Seeker Rods,
I have just returned from my 1st long range trip (10 day) aboard the Royal Polaris. Using a Seeker rod, I won the jackpot with a 200lb yellow fin tuna. The reel was a Penn 50W with 80lb blue Izorline and a 5/0 Mutu hook. The beast ate a 2lb mackerel and took about an hour to subdue. I'm astonished how much punishment that rod with stood through the battle.
Below is a picture you may use for promotion. I'm hoping you might consider sending me new rod in return so I might advertise it with my next trophy.
:-)

Feel free to contact me with questions or if I missed any details.
sincerely,Chuck Nowicki

Monster shark shatters record

After a three-hour fight and a 14-hour ordeal to find a certified scale, Jeff Shindle, of San Antonio, was finally able to have his picture taken with his record-breaking catch.  The winter season finds Jeff and his fishing buddies, Capt. Ben Reyna and Barry Reyna, owners of the 26-foot Glacier Bay catamaran reel smooth, targeting big shark.  This year, because of increased fishing pressure in the Port Aransas area, the Reyna brothers decided to run the boat out of Port Mansfield.
